What percentage of the population has genital herpes?

Herpes Simplex Virus (1 & 2) is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections that many people might not even realize they have! Some outbreaks can occur years after initially contracting the virus, and many people don’t even know they have it until they’re tested. There is no cure for HSV, but it can be managed with medication, condom use, and, of course, communication with your sexual partners!
